Went to the ER with Sarah. She said that she couldn't breath. She was coughing up phlegm and stuff. Didn't sound very good. We went and spent several hours there. They asked her tons of questions but not once did they ever say anything about bronchitis. They took x-rays and they found nothing. She doesn't have pneumonia, that is great but they didn't do anything else for her. Drives me nuts. She is still coughing pretty badly and hopefully, it won't get worse and we discover what is causing her to cough.
I swear, the moment the ER finds out that you don't insurance, they just forget about you. Or they take FOREVER to get to you. How can you not think about Bronchitis, if it wasn't Pneumonia?! You hear her coughing and it isn't a tiny cough. It's a full cough. Like she is trying to get something up that won't come easily without the whole lung, ya know?! Gah!
They let her go and we go home. What a waste of time and her money!!
All about my life with food allergies to wheat, corn, lemons, peanuts, and oranges. my family, and whatever comes to mind!

Work was ok, I was more worried about getting off in time to get freshened up, changed and get to dinner in time. I got off work and went home to get dressed and go to dinner with Mom and Sarah. The kids were up at Bear Lake. It really hurt that they were gone and not here for this momentous day but oh well, what could I do? Mom took Sarah and I to a pub downtown and we had some pretty good grub. The waitress was a friend of one of my classmates and gave me a sundae in congratulations of my graduation. It was yummy. At this point, I was regretting wearing the heels that I chose but I looked GOOD in them so I suffered. I took them off whenever I could. I was able to get into one of my skirts I haven't worn since early 2006. I was looking slick. I even straightened my hair!
I got to Capitol Theater, parked and grabbed all my stuff. I got in and it was chaos! I can't believe it.They hadn't even started the whole run-through nothing. We sat there for like another 20 minutes waiting. Finally they started and told us that we would go through a run-through but even changed that due to the time restraints. I'm sorry but you have us there at a certain time for a reason then start on time! It was horrible how chaotic and unorganized it all was. We had like 15 minutes to go to freshen up and get backstage before our families arrives. So really none of the women were able to get to the bathroom. This is what we did instead...

Little did we know what we were about to witness... The introductions were made. Mark Shurtleff was the guests speaker. Really?? I hate the man. He is so arrogant and takes all credit for himself. He offended everyone of us that I was around. He went on and on about his stupid book. What does that have to do with us? It was bad enough that he was racist in his comments on history but he said that if it weren't for our teachers, we would not be graduating. WTH? How dare he! It was because of ME that I graduated NOT my instructors. They gave me my grades and tests but I did the work not them! Oh, how we all were livid at this point. Shurtleff just went on and on. Seriously, we had our shoes off and were threatening to throw them up on stage and stage a walkout but sadly we were stuck in the middle of the rows so we couldn't leave. Luckily, he finally shut up and we listened to another speaker. Gag me. I was so done by now. Now we have to sit through each row to get called up. By this time, I am sore from all this. Our row finally goes up to wait in line... Then they start out degree program - Medical Specialties! I so want to take off my heels and carry them across the stage with me. Well here are the pics of graduation...

And I still have yet to write to the school about ruining my day...

A lot has happened in the last month since I posted
Four days after Beatlemania, I was in the ER. I missed a concert while in the ER. I was released and referred to The Hunstman Cancer Institute. I was then seen at The Huntsman and talked to about the results of my pathology test - Endometrial Carcinoma. Yep, it's cancer. And pretty aggressive too. Surgery is the only option. But I refuse to lose my uterus. So, we did an MRI. Once again, I was in the the hospital for the 3rd time in less than 3 weeks. It took them a while to get me the results of the MRI - tumor. Inoperable except to remove the whole organ. They don't want to disturb the tumor. Chemo and Radiation are not an option either. So, I am changing everything in my life. Taking all the negative out and only letting in the positive. I created a cancer blog so that I can write my most deep, dark fears and such but it's under an assumed name. There are some people in my life that have access to this blog address that shouldn't have that information (i.e. boss, co-workers, ex boyfriend [Jesse]) No offense meant to my co-workers but there are just some things of this that shouldn't be divulged, especially my ex-boyfried, Jesse (who just can't seem to leave me alone even though he is now married and has a family!).

SLCA presents Beatlemania!
*This is me in my costume. I am wearing go-go boots! The sleeves were too long but it added to the fun. :) I went from looking like this to my pics below for the last half of the concert. Such a HUGE contrast.
This is how I did my hair for the final song. We couldn't dress up in our costumes, so I had to change and do my hair. This is what I decided to do.
Did some self-portraits of myself.Wasn't sure how they'd come out but they came out great!
Just another self-portrait.
My last one that I will post. You can see that I wore blue eye shadow to match my costume. I haven't worn blue eye shadow in many a year.

After last night. . .
I am no longer a brunette. Yep, that is right. My gorgeous medium dark brown hair color is gone. What is the color? It is . . . midnight black. I like it but it seems...dull. Lack lustre. Plus for the first time, I missed 2 spots. My sideburns. They still have some grey to them but I liked my grey. That wasn't the goal to my coloring my hair. I wanted to do something different. I had just gotten down with all my requirements for school, gotten all but 1 signature for graduation, turning 34 in 4 weeks and just basically starting a new chapter in life and I said Hey! I want to do something to my hair. You know change it up a little. So I did. But I am going to go get another black that has a shine to it. Or I might go add some red to it, just cause.
My hair before I colored it.
The first black. Not very good.
The 2nd black. Much better looking! I like it but sometimes it looks like I'm wearing a wig. I finally got the chance to get a picture of it. I re-colored my hair later on the 7th.

What I had for dinner. . .
Now this post is in honor of my friend Austin. She suggested this and I titled it so. Heeheheheeh
I had what I have been having the past week - turkey, dressing and BBQ sauce. Hey, I have been craving BBQ sauce so I have been having it. I didn't want to make gravy. I was being lazy actually. lol
Today was actually pretty cool. I did my exit interview at school. It went well. I signed my papers, got the signatures that I needed to get, got an A- for my externship, got on the Dean's List for my GPA, am 1 signature closer to graduation. It was pretty good day all in all. I'm pleased.

I am officially unofficial.
I finished my externship. I enjoyed my time but the goodbye was lacking. Ok, so I enjoyed it most of the time. There were many times that I was left hanging by some of the CNAs that didn't seem to like me. Like I was stupid or something. I mean that is what an externship is for - to learn and apply the skills learned in class. I thought I did well with being the only non-spanish speaking person. In my paperwork from the site, I was given a general good work status. I was given a couple B's and mostly A's, so that means I should average an A-. I hope. Well I am glad to be done with Stevens-Henager. I had fun, met some awesome friends, learned some new skills and furthered my education. Now it wasn't always easy. It was hard at times because of the usual political bullcrap but that is how things are nowadays and sometimes I wished I hadn't gone there. I stuck it out and am pleased and so is the Lord. I followed His promptings and I am being blessed for it. I was supposed to go to SH and someday I will know why.
Anyway, my last few minutes at my externship site was interesting as I said earlier. The owner just signed my papers and said Good Luck and walked away. He walked away as I was trying to say "Thank You" for the opportunity to do my externship here. He didn't even hear me I bet. Oh well. I am just glad that it is all over and I have done my requirements for graduation. So I am officially unofficially graduated. I do my exit interview Monday or so. And I should have my degree in a few months. Now off I go to study for my certifications.
